Experience the most beautiful place in Kyrgyzstan
Lake Sary Chelek is one of the most beautiful lakes in Central Asia, the lake itself and the surrounding picturesque mountains being a very popular attraction of the Chatkal Range (the western Tien Shan). The lake is situated in the western part of Kyrgyzstan, 500 km from Bishkek and 300 km from Osh, at an elevation of 1,940 m above sea level. It is 7.5 km long, occupies an area of 507 ha (about 1,200 acres) and is included in the territory of the Sary Chelek Reserve. Sary Chelek is the third deepest lake of Central Asia and the second in Kyrgyzstan.
